My family was blessed with some incredible gifts, music being at the top of the list.  My grandfather was an amazing vocalist and saxophone player who devoted his life to music.  My brother, sister and I were fortunate enough to have some of his great talent passed on to us. Currently, I’m in my junior year of college working on my Vocal Performance Major. I spend as much time as I can learning and singing songs from the Rat Pack era as well as performing locally.  I also enjoy composing songs and playing the piano and flute.

In high school, I was fortunate to be in a program that took on challenging performances every year, so I had to step up my game and add some dance numbers to my repatoire.  Singing comes pretty naturally and although dance takes me a bit out of my comfort zone, I enjoy the challenge to test and expand what I’m capable of.

I’ve always been pretty shy, but I’ve grown to feel comfortable on the stage singing and performing - just don’t ask me to get up there and talk : ).  There are some links to performance clips on this page and some recent recordings on the “My Music” tab, so please watch, listen and enjoy

a bit more about Casey…

Music runs in his veins… At age 4 Casey made the ABC’s into a melody that entertained family, friends and neighbors.  Although his shy nature kept him from being in the spotlight for many years, when he entered high school his love of music and song pulled him onto the stage of the St. Francis Performing Arts Department.  It was there that Casey would open up and allow the audiences to enjoy his incredible gift.

christmas CONCERT with west coast big band

December 21 Casey joined the West Coast Big Band for their Christmas Concert at The Cause Church. Although the recognizable classics he sang may have been Christmas standards, that swinging delivery made them anything but standard!

Last evening, the 17-piece Jack Lantz Big Band filled the Eagle Rock Park bandstand and treated concert goers with a concert filled with great swing music of the 30’s through today.  A couple hundred concert goers dotted the slopes in front of the bandstand.  They picnicked, listened, applauded and danced, ultimately under the stars.  Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and Venus showed up too!

Jack Lantz Band’s big sound performance was the 8th and final Concert for this Summer.  Once again it proved a memorable way to bring the year’s Concerts in the Park to a close.

Kudos to organizing sponsors Michael Nogueira of Sir Michael’s Party Rentals, Councilmember José Huizar and the 11 sponsors of the eight individual concerts.  Well done!

Pictured in the photo along with the entire Jack Lantz Big Band is singer, Casey McCreary of La Cañada a recent grad of St. Francis High School now entering his second year at Cal State Long Beach where he is majoring in Vocal Performance.
